Enthusiast’s

Life isn’t all just industry, consulting, forensic preparation, etc. All that

work has to be offset with the things we love to do. One of those

things is automobiles. I have met many a professional that have their

special “toy” car that makes all their effort of life worthwhile. This part

of the web-site is devoted to that enthusiasm.

Wikipedia says an aficionado is someone who has an intense,

occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for something.

I have been called an automobile aficionado. I recall as a kid I built an

open wheeled Indy car plastic model when I was about nine years old.

That’s my 1st recollection of cars. I still have the 1:32 scale 32 Plymouth

sedan model in yellow and black in my office. At about ten years old, I

would go to the old man down the street from my home whom had a

1946 Lincoln Continental and a 28 Studebaker. I remember thinking

those were the coolest cars.

When I was 14 I moved on to the big stuff, took apart his first V-8

engine it was a 265 cubic inch Chevrolet, I don’t recall if I did anything

with it or not, but was hooked.

Send me some information about your automobile passion and I will

share it with others to appreciate.

This photo was taken in our front yard. Showing the stately elegance

that an old Mercedes Benz conveys, this particular example is

unrestored and has been run about 63,000 miles over the last 37 years.

It has numerous 1st place awards, in addition to corporate awards from

shows around the country. While the Classic Car Club of America

defines a classic as older than 1948, this model has been called a classic

by many a judge.
